I love these nutcracker candles, they look great in my festive glass candlestick holders. I think they are more of a decorative thing as they look too nice to light. They’re also not overly sturdy in my holders so I don’t think I’d light them for that reason. If I do decide to light them one year at Christmas then I will probably melt a bit of wax in the bottom of the holder to help sit the candlestick more firmly in place. A lovely way to brighten up the table at Christmas. When lit they should burn for around 8 hours. Note: they are not scented. Currently priced at £9.99 but usually £14.95, these prices seem a little steep for two candlesticks. However they are quirky, I’ve not seen anything like these in the shops and I’ll be able to get them out year after year unless I decide to light them!

We have a large candleabra which holds 8 candles and we usually leave it on the hearth in front of the fire. We normally use cream tapered candles but thought these two would make it seem a lot more Christmassy. They certainly did. They're good quality and good value for money and are tasteful, unlike some Christmas decorations. The colours and images on them are lovely, bright without being brash, and mixed in with the cream candles they looked very festive.

These are a lovely pair of good length novelty Christmas taper candles. They did wobble/lean in my candle holders, so they had to be trimmed to fit. They’re almost too nice to burn, but I did. After lighting them both at the same time, the red candle lasted around 9.5 hours, and the green one lasted roughly 8 hours. They burned cleanly without any black smoke but did drip — the green candle in particular puddled quite a lot of wax. Overall, they're a lovely pair of candles, albeit slightly expensive. For the price, I’d be tempted to use them for decorative purposes only and bring them out each Christmas. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.
